Humility- Victory over flesh!
Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin.
1 Peter 4:1
If we must wear the crown of humility, we must be willing to become dead to the flesh, to the 'self' and alive in the spirit. Anyone who refuses to become a fool before men, who is not humble, dependent on God to see Him in everything, cannot see God. The kingdom of God is given to children such as these; who with a heart of love, humble themselves to seek and to know God. They will see God, for they see God in everything. GOD CAN ONLY BE FOUND BY THOSE WHO ARE NO LONGER LIVING FOR SELF. God can only be found by the humble, because He is mostly revealed in the still small voice.
Most of the Jews never believed Jesus was the Messiah, because they were seeking God in the earthquakes, thunders and fires.... God is found first in the word and then in our Heart, when His word has become reality in us, it the very Spirit of God. This is relationship
We do not live to please self or majority, but rather we live to please only One TRUE God. The cross is a life of humility, total dependence on God. It is a life of greatest sacrifice, a living sacrifice [ death to self ], a life of love. It is a journey of Love to become Love [ God ]. A Christian who is suffering is not one who is walking with Jesus, but one who is standing far off. A Christian who is suffering is a Christian who is not carrying his cross.
